The primary goals of CTI are as follows:

To conduct research in ICT and its applications, with a particular focus on Education.

To develop and utilize conventional and digital media in Education and Lifelong Learning.

To publish and distribute Greek school textbooks.


CTI’s operational functions include:

The administration, development and operation of the Greek School Network.

2_


The development, operation, maintenance, and support of critical information systems within the educational community’s digital ecosystem (e.g. the “myschool” platform, teacher registry, payments management, etc.).

The development, operation, maintenance, and support of the educational platform “e-me,” the digital repositories of educational content “Photodentro”, the interactive school textbooks platform “e-books” and the creation of digital educational content.

The production of technical specifications, development, management and operation of the Digital Library of School Textbooks.

The design, development and support of the digital infrastructure of the Ministry of Education (MINEDU), e.g. teacher payroll applications etc.

The training of school teachers in the use of digital technologies in teaching, as well as in the utilization of the digital examination system for skill certification (e.g. state foreign language diplomas and IT literacy).

7_


The publication, production and distribution of all K-12 school textbooks.

8_


The operation of the National Contact Point for the eTwinning European initiative.
