This project is a continuation / 2nd cycle of implementation of the homonymous project “”Training of Teachers for the utilization and application of digital technologies in the teaching practice (Training of 2nd level ICT)””, aiming at the training and certification of a larger number of teachers, including the newly appointed in the period 2020-2022, as well as the updating and enrichment of the content and material of the provided types of training and certification (B1 and B2 ICT level), methodologies and support systems.
In particular, the subject of this project includes:
a) 12,600 participations of teachers in the Training B1 level ICT (Introductory Training for the educational utilization of ICT)
b) 15,000 teacher participations in B2 level ICT Training (Advanced Training for the use and application of ICT in teaching practice)
c) Certification procedures of the above teachers in the respective ICT knowledge and skills and in addition, certification procedures in basic ICT knowledge and skills (A ‘level ICT), as this certification is, in general, a prerequisite for the participation of teachers in B1 ICT training.
d) Updating and enriching the content and material of training and certification of the above programs considering feedback and internal evaluation of the previous relevant project, technological and pedagogical developments, as well as current needs and conditions of implementation. In particular, for the B1 level ICT training, adaptations and content enrichment is foreseen for its distinction in more clusters of teachers (according to the organization of the B2 level ICT training in 13 clusters, compared to 4 clusters before) and respectively development of more distinct seminars. -courses, integration of special features of distance education for the full implementation of the mixed training model, as well as emphasis on the utilization of systems and environments that support and facilitate the operation of the classroom community for communication, distribution and sharing of material, assignment – elaboration educational activities etc. (eg e-me platform, e-class).
e) Update and, where appropriate, adaptations and extensions of functions of the support systems for the implementation of trainings and certifications (Management Information System / MIS, Asynchronous Distance Learning Platform, Information Portal, etc.).
f) Carrying out additional horizontal actions in support of the project such as, publicity actions, internal evaluation, procurement of equipment and network services, as well as more specific actions of quality assurance and creation of conditions for the sustainability of the results of the act.
For the implementation of the project, infrastructures, systems, as well as scientific tools developed in the previous relevant project will be utilized (eg Information System / MIS, Certification Systems B1, B2 and A ‘level ICT, Library of Educational Activities and Scenarios ICT – IFIGENIA study content and training materials) which will be upgraded, enriched – expanded and adapted to meet the new requirements.
Also, the Registers of the previous relevant Act are utilized and updated and in particular the:
a) Register of Trainers B ‘level ICT
b) Register of Training Support Centers (KSE)
Finally, the Scientific Council set up by ITYE – “”Diofantos”” is utilized, as well as the enlarged Scientific Committee that operated in the previous relevant act, in which all the Professors / faculty members of the said Scientific Council and the scientific managers “”clusters” of new entrants in the training of branches-specialties of teachers.
