RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management, administration, and exploitation of infrastructure, assets, trademarks, and other distinctive features, as well as the archives of the abolished Organization of Textbook Publications transferred to CTI. This includes recording, managing, and continuously updating all assets related to the functions of the Publishing Division, such as revenue from book sales, warehouses, information systems, the historical archive library, and the library with book proofs.
- Execution of all acts and procedures necessary for funding the production and distribution of primary and secondary education books, verification of invoices for related expenses, and maintaining ongoing communication between CTI and the relevant Division of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports.
- Protection, exploitation, and safeguarding of CTI’s intellectual property rights both domestically and internationally; planning of publications; and organization and coordination of the production of school books, instructional materials, and books for scientific research and lifelong learning in both printed and electronic formats. ICT will be utilized to meet the needs of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, as well as other public entities.
- Organization, operation, management, coordination, and utilization of infrastructure, resources, and intellectual property rights related to the production, distribution, and availability of publications in printed and digital formats for the educational community and the market. This includes the publication of educational books and materials with free distribution to all public primary and secondary schools in Greece and educational institutions abroad; adaptation of educational books into Braille, fonts for visually impaired students, and Greek sign language for deaf students; publication of books and materials for scientific research following the relevant decision from the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports; and management of digital books with the expansion of digital functions for the production and distribution of school books in new subjects.
