Access Network and Backbone Network Services for the Education (GUnet)
Program: O.P. for the Education and Initial Professional Training I
Gunet is the effort of 18 Universities and 14 Technology Institutes in the design, implementation and operation of a backbone network. The communication with other national and international research centers for information interchange:
- To give to all educational institutes of Greece, high-speed and high quality access to the Internet
- To integrate all campus networks in one common effort
- To promote the research collaboration among educational institute of Greece and Europe
- To support the communication needs of Libraries and University Carrier Offices
- To help the cooperation of high-school instructors
