About the “TRANSFER” project

The goal of TRANSFER is to develop, transfer and disseminate a Common Governance Model for the management of archaeological parks that goes beyond the traditional conservation approach, to open up for the valorization of cultural heritage into sustainable development opportunities and growth. The Common Governance Model will be tested through pilot actions that will be carried out in the six participating archaeological Parks, i.e. Urbs Salvia (Italy), Antigonea (Albania), Ptuj (Slovenia), Dodona (Greece), Omišalj and Šibenik (Croatia).

The TRANSFER Project is co-financed by the European transnational programme ADRION which promotes cooperation between eight countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. The aim of the programme is to support innovative governance between partner countries, making use of their natural, cultural and human resources and, at the same time, enhancing economic, social and territorial cohesion in the Adriatic and Ionian Region.
